Gold deals on Moscow Exchange rise 20.4% to 32 tns in Jan–Aug
MOSCOW, Sep 4 (PRIME) -- The physical volume of deals with gold on the Moscow Exchange increased 20.39% on the year to 32.2 tonnes in January–August, the exchange said in a statement on Monday.
The amount of deals with silver plunged 46.18% on the year to 755.1 kilograms in the period.
In monetary terms, gold and silver deals amounted to more than 72.3 billion rubles, down from 84.09 billion rubles in the same period of 2016.
In August, the volume of gold deals on the Moscow Exchange amounted to 7.4 tonnes and silver deals stood at 155 kilograms. In monetary terms, the combined volume of deals with gold and silver reached 18.2 billion rubles.
In 2016, 124.8 billion ruble deals were concluded on the Moscow Exchange for 46.579 tonnes of gold and 1.67 tonnes of silver.
